Our Why
The Lady in Waiting was born from a deep desire to help women discover who they truly are, why they were created, and how to walk boldly in every season God has called them to. Inspired by Ephesians 4:12
“to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ”
Our heart is to equip, encourage, and empower women to live fully in their purpose, embrace their identity in Christ, and cultivate relationships that reflect God’s love.In a world that constantly tells us to rush and compare, we believe there is beauty and power in waiting not as a passive act, but as a holy posture of preparation and becoming. Our mission is to equip and empower women to step confidently into their purpose while building Christ-centered relationships that nurture, strengthen, and inspire.

A Note from Our Founder
Hi, I’m Dr. Iyinoluwa Sofowora; a Christian writer, speaker, and molecular biologist based in the United States. More importantly, I’m a woman who has walked through seasons of waiting, wondering, and becoming.
I started The Lady in Waiting because I know what it feels like to question your worth, to long for direction, and to wait on God’s promises. Through my own journey, I discovered God uses our seasons of waiting to shape us, refine us, and call us deeper into His love. My heart is to walk alongside you, to help you uncover your God-given purpose, embrace your true identity, and build relationships that reflect His heart. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
